Field Notes No. 1

Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco Bouquet to Arts & My Summer Interns

Me and Dede Wilsey

In January, I wanted to start a series called Field Notes; however, it’s been a very busy year, and I am just now getting back to doing my personal writing after being extremely involved in fundraising for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco through their Bouquet to Arts annual event, where I was the acting co-chair for 2026. With the help of dozens of talented and dedicated people and the support of the museum, we raised over one million dollars to support the arts. This is small compared to what Dede Wilsey has done for San Francisco, but it was a whirlwind, and one of the best parts was spending time with Dede at our Opening Night party. She could not have been more gracious, and it was extremely satisfying to have such a record-breaking year.

While shouldering this event, I was also working with TSMC and working on Ocean SF. I’m not going to lie, it was incredibly stressful; I wouldn’t do it again, but it was worth it. I now have a little breather as I begin planning the summer intern program for Ocean SF with my lead intern, who is returning for her 4th year!

This June, five standout individuals are stepping into the Ocean SF ecosystem again: four returning and one new addition. We have kept our team intentionally small this year to help us focus on interns who have been with us for several years. They know they aren’t here to shadow or fetch coffee. They are here to lead and move the needle.

Over the next few months, our summer intern cohort will use the Ocean SF brand as a real-world testing ground. This program is built on three core pillars that drive success in the modern world: uncompromising entrepreneurship, true leadership, and our absolute commitment to sustainability.

Stay tuned to see what this cohort will be doing this summer. New products to follow…
